Transparent vs. Transluscent

In addition to opaque colours, you can also decorate your products with transparent or transluscent shades. Since we often see both terms used interchangeably, we wrote this article.

TRANSPARENT SHADES- the objects placed behind the decorated object can be clearly observed.

TRANSLUSCENT SHADES - allow the passage of light, but the orbits in the background can no longer be clearly observed. Usually transluscent colours on glass are also matt, i.e. they have a fine texture.

Colouring

Both TRANSPARENT and TRANSLUSCENT colours can be coloured according to specific assignment (you can specify e.g. RAL, PANTONE, NCS, but also with a submitted sample).

The passage of light is allowed in both cases, but it can also be influenced by the saturation of the colour pigmentation (tint).

Different series of glass paints allow differently varied possibilities of working with transparency or translucency settings. Organic paints usually provide a wider range as opposed to ceramic paints. We will be happy to help You with the selection and our laboratory will fine-tune the colour according to Your wishes.
