About us

We are a family company founded in 1991 by Karel Batla.

Various materials and technologies for glass decoration. We will advise you on the selection of appropriate techniques for your specific project. We will train your team. Do you need to refine glass in any of its forms? Then we are here for you.

We produce and colour colours for printing toughened glass for use in architecture, colours for decorating beverage, decorative and utility glass. We introduce technologies for colouring, printing and sandblasting glass.

Already 33 years

For 33 years we have been here for all those who want to decorate or otherwise improve glass.

Our long-term activities in the field of training and education on the topic of glass decoration and refinement are covered under the name GDS ACADEMY.

Entrepreneur, natural person Batla Karel - GlassDekorService transforms the company into GDS Technology s.r.o. (legal form of incorporation of the company, which guarantees legal continuity).

Share capital: 18.200.000,- CZK

We are solving the lack of space for further development by buying a new, larger premises and embarking on its reconstruction.

2000

SIBO fair, the largest glass exhibition in the Czech Republic. We are there.

1997

We're growing and getting bigger spaces. The circle is coming full circle and the Panský dům, as the building where the founder of the glassworks worked is called, is once again alive with glassmaking.

1994

We are gradually adding technology to the materials. Thanks to many years of experience in glass decoration, consultation and advice becomes an important part of the company's know-how.

We acquire the first three-roller paint paste machine. A small EXAKT 50 (you don't even want to know how long it took to paste 20 KG of paint). But it marks a significant moment in the company's history and sets the direction we are taking.

In 1994 we exhibited at the glass fair in Košice.

1989 = Start

After the Velvet Revolution, Šárka Batlová became an independent glass painter. Batla Karel founded the GlassDekorService business in 1991. The company distributes decorative materials of world manufacturers such as Cerdec-Degussa, Heraeus, Johnsonn Matthey, Rüger & Günzel, Feustel, KDV.

Before 1989

Both Karel Batla and Šárka Batlová work in the state enterprise OSVĚTLOVACÍ SKLO VALAŠSKÉ MEZIŘÍČÍ.

1854

In 1855 the glassworks S. Reich & Co. was founded in Valašské Meziříčí. At that time the largest glassworks in Wallachia.

And why do we mention it? Without these glassworks, the founders of our company, Mr. and Mrs. Batl, would probably never have worked in the glass industry.
