Corundum brown F150 - pack 25 kg
Brown corundum, aluminium oxide (Al2O3) is a high quality, hard, sharp-edged abrasive, ideal for use in pressure or injector booths.
It can be used, for example, in sandblasting glass or steel. Furthermore, alumina is used in rust and paint removal, surface cleaning or surface preparation for subsequent operations.
In coarser grits (up to approx. F220) it is used as a durable blasting material that can be recycled repeatedly.
This blasting material is suitable for both coarse blasting and fine surface finishing, with the resulting blasted surface appearance being matt. During sandblasting, there is minimal abrasion of the blasting material.
Corundum itself is one of the hardest materials on the Mohs scale and at 9 is four times harder than silica sand.
Properties of brown corundum:
- Premium abrasive for sandblasting
- High resistance to corrosion and dulling of the abrasive
- Suitable for all sandblasters
- Not suitable for the manufacture of abrasive wheels and tools
The use of brown corundum:
- Blasting of glass and metal parts
- In deburring and steel refining
- Removing deep rust and paint (also effective on comaxide and epoxy)
- Pre-treatment of surfaces prior to paint or plating
- Surface bonding and weld smoothing
