The Story of Glass, Part VI: Paintings on Glass at the Old School in Kokava

The Old School in Kokava is currently hosting another edition of the exhibition series “The Story of Glass VI,” this time titled “Painted on Glass.” The exhibition showcases both traditional and contemporary glass painting and brings together historical exhibits with the work of contemporary Slovak and international artists and glass designers.

Visitors can see examples of traditional underglaze painting on glass, historical functional objects, and contemporary original works that demonstrate various approaches to painting and decorating glass.

The exhibition runs from July 17 to September 30, 2026, at the Old School in Kokava, Kokava nad Rimavicou.

If you’re interested in the craft of glassmaking, the history of glass decoration, or contemporary glass art, we recommend taking this opportunity to visit the exhibition.

You can find more information about the exhibition on the school’s website.
