PANTONE colour of the year 2023

Viva Magenta is inspired by the natural red colours found, for example, in beetles or exotic flowers. In particular, for example, cochineal, which is one of nature's rarest dyes. Cochineal is one of the strongest and brightest dyes that can be found naturally on the planet, a colour that symbolises strength, vitality and connection to nature. 

The choice of this colour reflects broader social trends towards greater emphasis on individuality, courage and authenticity. Viva Magenta is the colour of those who are not afraid to be themselves. 

Viva Magenta has the ability to evoke strong emotions and is perceived as encouraging and inspiring. PANTONE chose it for its ability to bring joy and optimism, which is more than desirable in today's times.

As is usual with PANTONE shades, their colour of the year cannot be prepared from, for example, ceramic colours for tempered glass, because there are no pigments that we can use to prepare them.

Fortunately, for the organic paints, we have been able to mix this shade in our laboratory (opaque, gloss and matt versions)
