On the occasion of the 300th anniversary of the beginning of the production of illuminating glass in North Bohemia, it will be held on 5 September. 2024, the Czech Glass Society in cooperation with the Technical University of Liberec and the Secondary School of Arts and Crafts in Kamenický Šenov will hold an international conference on: Glass and Light Lighting and Optical Glass.

The thematic areas of the conference programme are mainly focused on:

• The use of modern technologies in the design, construction, solution of optical properties and implementation of optical and lighting systems,
• Special applications using the unique optical properties of glass,
• Addressing energy and environmental issues in the production of optical and lighting glass,
• Historical development of the production of lighting glass, techniques used for shaping, refinement and their overlap and use in current conditions.

The conference will include a poster session designed for presentations by professional glass schools (free of charge), companies operatingfor technical development, technology or production of optical or lighting glass and other interested parties (as part of the advertising package).

Deadline for conference registration and timely payment of the conference fee: 31 August 2024
