The ISO 2409:2013 grid test set for adhesion of coatings is used to evaluate the adhesion of paints, varnishes and surface coatings to the substrate. The method is commonly used in glassworks, paint shops, industrial production and quality control.
The test consists of making a well-defined grid of cuts into the dry coating and then evaluating the adhesion of the coating. The results are classified according to an ISO scale, where a lower value indicates better adhesion.
The kit is designed for dry coatings up to 250 µm thick and meets the requirements of ISO 2409:2013 and BS 3962-6.
