UV-Tek 116 is a professional, medium-viscosity UV adhesive developed specifically for bonding glass bevels to flat glass. Excess cured adhesive can be cut away and peeled off after application.
The adhesive forms a flexible and durable bond. Its refractive index and light transmittance are similar to those of float glass and beveled glass, making it suitable for decorative glass applications where a clean-looking bond is important.
Key features of UV-Tek 116 adhesive:
- Designed for bonding glass bevels to flat glass
- cures under UV light
- clear finish
- flexible, tough, and durable bond
- medium viscosity of 600 mPa·s at 21 °C
- Light transmittance greater than 99.8%
- refractive index approximately 1.5 ± 0.2
- Curing wavelength: 310 to 385 nm
- Excess adhesive can be cut off and peeled away after curing
- Package size: 200 g
Recommended Application Procedure:
The glass surfaces to be bonded must be thoroughly cleaned and degreased before application. Apply the adhesive to the underside of the bevel. Then gently press the bevel against the glass so that excess adhesive, air bubbles, and any visible debris are squeezed out of the joint.
For 4 mm float glass, we recommend curing in two steps: approximately 15 seconds + 15 seconds. The actual curing time may vary depending on the equipment used, the thickness of the glass, the distance from the light source, and other application conditions. After curing, the excess adhesive is cut off and peeled away.
Storage and Safety:
UV-Tek 116 reacts to UV radiation and heat. The adhesive must therefore be protected from sunlight, UV light sources, and elevated temperatures.
