Carafe with water glasses

The glass carafe and glass set was designed not only with an emphasis on its function, but above all on the semantic and symbolic overlap associated with the phenomenon of water.

The two contrasting natures of water - geometric purity and organic dynamism - intertwine and complement each other in the design. The thin-walled glass emphasises the clarity of water, while its lightness encourages a greater respect for water and its conscious use. The morphology of the individual elements is based on the morphology of the drops falling on the surface and the tendency of water to form into rounded structures due to surface tension.

The dominant element is the interference pattern on the stave, which responds to the undulations of the neck of the decanter. The double ripple imaginatively triggers the movement of waves on the bowl, whose collision creates the moiré effect. This optical effect further distributes the energy of the waves and propagates it through the entire surface of the gourd.
