Continuing the Tradition - Glass School Students Again on Internship at GDS Technology

As has become a nice tradition at GDS Technology, this year we once again welcomed students from the Secondary School of Arts and Crafts Glass School in Valašské Meziříčí, who completed a week-long professional internship with us.

This time, we were joined by five second- and third-year students who had the opportunity to get acquainted with specific technologies in the field of glass craftsmanship.

The internship took place in our training centre and laboratory, where the students tried their hand at various techniques, including sandblasting using UV sandblasting films, creating imitation stained glass, and spraying glasses. They were most interested in working with UV sandblasting films and the entire process of making imitation stained glass, which combines both precision and creativity.

During the week, the students not only learned new techniques, but also got a glimpse of what a typical working day looks like in a modern glass company. Overall, they evaluated the internship very positively – and so did we. We see the cooperation with the school as mutually beneficial and are pleased to see such strong interest from the younger generation in the glass craft.

We would like to thank the students for their dedication and the school for their trust. We’re already looking forward to the next round of internships and to meeting new faces eager to create.
