Safety Instructions:

Wear safety goggles and work in a well-ventilated area. This product is not intended for children under 12 years of age. Read the manufacturer’s safety instructions before use.

Application Instructions:

1. For wood, first sand and dust the surface. We recommend using 220-grit sandpaper.
2. Place the Ikonart stencil on the prepared surface.
3. Press the stencil firmly so that it adheres well to the surface.
4. Apply a thin layer of stencil paste.
5. Using a putty knife, spread the paste evenly over the openings (motifs) in the stencil.
6. Scrape off any excess paste and return it to the jar.
7. Carefully remove the stencil.
8. Let the paste dry for at least 2 minutes.
9. Use a powerful heat gun, preferably 1000 W or higher.
10. Move the heat evenly across the entire surface of the applied paste until the design begins to darken and take on a fired appearance.
11. The longer and more intensely the heat is applied, the darker the final burn mark will be.
12. When finished, wipe the surface clean and remove any remaining residue.

Recommendations for best results:

For a clean and sharp design , it is important that the stencil adheres well to the surface. Apply the paste in a thin layer and always remove excess material before removing the stencil. When working with wood, pay close attention to surface preparation, as a well-sanded surface helps achieve a more even result.
