UV Photoresist Films

UV Photoresist Films
UV photosensitive sandblasting films are popular for their ability to produce sandblasting stencils in a short time, even with very fine details (e.g. rasterized photographs, pen drawings, etc.). Sandblasting foils are divided into dry and wet (washable, non-washable). They cover a wide range of application areas. Each type of film provides its own unique advantages and strengths.
MoreHow to choose a UV sandblasting film?
UV sandblasting films come in a variety of thicknesses, and the choice of a particular thickness depends on several factors such as:
The material being sandblasted
The sandblasting material plays a key role in selecting the correct film thickness. For example, when sandblasting tiles or stone, it is advisable to choose a thicker film as the process will take longer than sandblasting glass, for example.
Sandblasting depth
The depth of sandblasting is another factor influencing the choice of film thickness. For surface sandblasting, a thinner film such as R3 is sufficient, but if you plan to sandblast deeply it is preferable to choose a thicker film such as R5.
Required level of detail
It should always be remembered that lines cannot be sanded deeper than their actual width. If you are working with very detailed graphics with narrow lines, it is advisable to use a thinner sandblasting film.
If a thicker film is used, where the lines of the graphic are thinner than the thickness of the film itself, the graphic may not appear correctly when blasted on the object. Therefore, when using thicker film, it is often necessary to adjust the thickness of any excessively thin lines (lines) to match the thickness of the film used.
